At Spring Studio, we believe Pilates is more than just physical exercise; It can radically enhance mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing.
We teach our clients to use the mind to train the body, ultimately leading the the coordination of the mind/body/spirit. Joseph Pilates created this method of exercise using 5 key principles: Precision. Control. Concentration. Centering... and Breath. Using these principles, we help our clients improve their overall wellbeing, leading to a better life both inside and out of the studio. Our clients see improvements in breathing, posture, strength, flexibility, core stability, and balance.
After years and years of different health clubs, fad memberships and trendy workouts, I was “burnt out”, bored, and not interested in exercise. Although my physical body was healthy and fit, my mental person was craving movement and a sense of well-being, something different. As luck would have it, I entered my forties and found Pilates, which was my 'aha' moment for sure! The excercise method, originally called contrology, was developed by Joseph Pilates. The movements are based on control, which is what makes it so powerful. The ability to get strong using the mind-body connection to improve your overall health and wellbeing is so empowering. I found Pilates worked muscles I did not even know I had. I felt my overall physical and mental health improve. I felt inspired, motivated and challenged. I discovered my 'core' and became obsessed with making it work for me. I became stronger, leaner and meaner! The love I have for Pilates has grown even deeper in teaching, sharing, and extracting the best out of my clients. My goal is to help my clients get the most out of their pilates practice and fulfill their personal goals, making them the best version of themselves possible!

Our studio is equipped with top-of-the-line equipment from Balanced Body, including the iconic solid maple Studio Reformer with Tower, Exo Chairs, and Bodhi Suspension Systems.
With so many accessories available, our instructors are able to adapt each class to the clients' specific needs. Classes may be enhanced with work at the barre, jump boards, exercise balls, a spine corrector, or with the Bodhi suspension system... all within full view of the mirror to improve posture and make corrections.
If you are brand new to Reformer Pilates, you will first book a demo session, where we introduce you to the equipment and assess your goals. After your demo, you'll be able to schedule your first class session.
If you've used a reformer before, you are welcome to join a group class without a demo session. Keep in mind that there are many reformers on the market, and ours may be different than the one you've used in the past. We're proud to use the Studio Reformer with Tower from Body Balance.
Comfortable, form fitting clothes that won't get caught on loops or springs work best. Make sure that your clothes allow for plenty of movement. Many of our clients dress in layers, removing a sweatshirt as they warm up. Grippy socks are also required (we sell these in the studio, but also have a few spare pairs in case you forget yours).
Just your water and grippy socks!
